Tracey & Rachel Lewis began breeding dogs in 2002. Their goal was to keep their breeding business small so that they can fully ensure that each dog and puppy could receive the best care possible. For them it isn't about quantity but about quality. They take extensive care to ensure that their dogs produce happy and healthy puppies. 

We have all heard horror stories about puppy mills, trust and know that Mountain Top Puppies is not one of those places. Mountain Top Puppies is a facility that pays state and federal taxes. Tracey and Rachel are professional breeders, not hobbyists, meaning they follow best practices in the industry and have a true understanding of proper husbandry in order to produce healthy and happy dogs. The Lewis's are truly dedicated to being part of the solution rather than the problem when it comes to the dog breeding industry - upholding ethical breeding practices that ensure the overall well-being of the animals. 

Tracey and Rachel ask that all interested families complete a puppy application in order to be approved to purchase. You will be asked questions about your previous and current dogs, if you have a fenced yard, agree to spay/neuter, and your vet's phone number for a reference. This is done to ensure that the puppies will be going to a positive environment in which they can flourish and be loved in the best way possible. In the event that a puppy from Mountain Top Puppies can no longer be cared for by its owner, we always agree to take them
